                Linux version  - Patch 1.3.1 - Dynamic Version

This is the dynamically linked version of the Heroes3 game binary, as of
version 1.3.1 of the game. This binary is thus smaller than the other
static binary, and it depends on the presence of the following shared
libraries :

     libsmpeg-0.3.so.0
     libSDL-1.1.so.0
     libpthread.so.0
     libX11.so.6
     libXext.so.6

     libaudiofile.so.0
     /lib/ld-linux.so.2

This binary is compiled for GNU libc 2.1 ONLY and it is NOT officially
supported by Loki. The purpose of this special release is to allow
developers to use their own custom versions of some of those libraries
with the game.

GETTING ADDITIONAL SHARED LIBRARIES

Most of the required libraries are part of all standard Linux distributions
(this binary was built on a Red Hat 6.1 system). However, you may need to
get those libraries separately at the following locations :

  - SDL 1.1 : http://www.devolution.com/~slouken/SDL/download-1.1.html
  - SDL mixer 1.0 : http://www.devolution.com/~slouken/SDL/projects/SDL_mixer/index.html
  - SMPEG 0.3 : http://www.lokigames.com/development/smpeg.php3

INSTALLING THIS PATCH

This patch applies against an installation of the full game ALREADY UPGRADED
TO THE STATIC 1.3.1 PATCH. You need to run the 'heroes3-1.3.1-x86.run' 
script first to upgrade your original installation.

Just run the script by typing the following from the command line :

     sh heroes3-dynamic-1.3.1-x86.run

It will prompt you for the installation path of the game. If different
from the default (/usr/local/games/Heroes3), type the name of the
directory where you installed the game.


TECHNICAL SUPPORT

This dynamic patch is NOT officially supported. Use at your own risk.
